Fluke Corp. (Everett, Wash.): Barbara B. Hulit has been named president with responsibility for the Fluke Industrial and Fluke Precision Measurement businesses. Hulit comes to Fluke from The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she was a vice president and director for the firm's packaged goods sector.
Greenlee (a Textron company, Rockford, Ill.): Martha Kness has been appointed vice president of marketing. Prior to joining Greenlee in 2003 as director of marketing, Kness spent 12 years with Newell Rubbermaid. Matt Sisco has been promoted to vice president of specialty channels. He joined Greenlee in 2000 as director retail sales. Bill Shulha, currently vice president of North American sales, will now oversee the wholesale national account managers for electrical, tool house and catalog, and the North American distribution regional management team.
National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED, St. Louis): Thomas Isenberg, president of Western Extralite Co., Kansas City, Mo., has been appointed incoming vice president-elect for the association's Western Region. Isenberg, who has played an active role in the electrical distribution channel for 26 years, will lead the Western Region in 2007-2008. The Western Region is currently headed by Tammy Miller, president of Border States Electric Supply, Phoenix. In May 2006, Les Williamson, president of Eoff Electric Co. (a division of Sonepar USA), Portland, Ore., will become Western Region vice president for the 2006-2007 year.
Lutron Electronics Co. Inc. (Coopersburg, Pa.): David Weinstein has been appointed to the newly created position of sales vice-president, market development. Weinstein will be responsible for sales of Lutron shading systems. Formerly, he was sales director-window systems.
Cooper Industries Ltd. (Houston): Gary A. Masse has been appointed group president, Cooper Tools and Hardware. Masse will be responsible for the Cooper Hand Tools business unit headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., and the Cooper Power Tools organization headquartered in Lexington, S.C.
Viking Electric Supply (St. Paul, Minn.): A seven-year Viking Electric veteran, Jeff Wanner has been appointed regional director for the Southeastern Wisconsin market. He will lead the Boggis Johnson organization, which Viking Electric recently acquired. (See News Watch, page 5.)
Vari-Lite (Dallas): Vari-Lite, a Genlyte company, has appointed Ray Whitton as business development manager for the western region of the United States. Returning to Vari-Lite for a second time after a stint with the company from 1995 to 2000, Whitton will be based out of Simi Valley, Calif.
National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA, Rosslyn, Va.): Stephen Gold has been appointed senior vice president of industry programs. Gold previously served as vice president and executive director for the Council of Manufacturing Associations of the National Association of Manufacturers.
Shat-R-Shield (Salisbury, N.C.): Karen Ponce, a 16-year Shat-R-Shield veteran, has been appointed president. Most recently, Ponce was vice president. She succeeds Robert J. Nolan, who retains his post as Shat-R-Shield's owner and CEO.
GE Security (Bradenton, Fla.): A 20-year GE veteran, Dave Griffith has been named vice president, sales and marketing for networked solutions, responsible for working with residential, commercial, real estate, builder and auto dealer market integrators and dealers to help them combine the power of integrated technologies for CCTV, intrusion detection, and access control. Most recently, Griffith was general manager for marketing at GE's consumer and industrial group.
Bodine Electric Co. (Chicago): Wes Hawkins has been appointed vice president of manufacturing. Hawkins was previously with Schneider Electric/Square D, where he was in charge of manufacturing, logistics and project management. Bodine also recently appointed two new area sales managers. Dan Orr will be responsible for sales in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. Johnny Persson joins Bodine as area sales manager for Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
