Maureen O' Connor, president and CEO of LEM Products Inc., Doylestown, Pa., was awarded the WBE Leadership Award for her contribution to the growth and development of women-owned businesses and for her leadership, business acumen, mentoring activities, and community service. LEM Products manufactures electrical and industrial identification products, including identification labels, tags and signs.

The Women's Business Enterprise Council (WBEC) of Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey presented the award at its fifth annual awards program in June at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Philadelphia.

“As women business owners, we need to be deliberate, understanding that the investment women have collectively — being the single largest and fastest growing entity in small business — is enormous” says O'Connor in accepting the award. “Our responsibility to help one another to succeed is an important part to our continued growth.”

“Maureen is a role model for other successful women business enterprises to mirror — to help “pay it forward” so other women can succeed,” said Geri Swift, president of the Women's Business Development Center. “She embodies the spirit of the WBE Leadership Award which recognized her business acumen, mentoring activities, community service and her commitment to the development and growth of women and their companies.”
