Greenlee, a Rockford, Ill.-based subsidiary of Textron Inc., launched “Go Today,” a distributor program that provides an additional way for requesting and expediting special orders. The new e-mail option allows distributors to connect online without ever having to fax the request or speak with a customer service representative via phone.
“Our channel partners are looking for suppliers who are solution providers,” says Chera Ellis, director of marketing. “'Go Today' provides the distributor with an easy-to-use option for same-day shipments. It's just another way that Greenlee is there with you, faster, safer and easier.”
According to Dianna Peterson, Greenlee customer service manager, “With the ‘Go Today’ program, distributors can e-mail their next day air requests to [email protected] rather than calling the 800-number or using a fax machine. By taking advantage of this new program, a distributor receives a guarantee from Greenlee that all in-stock orders sent to the ‘Go Today’ e-mail address prior to 3 p.m. Central Standard Time will be shipped out the same day. The distributor also receives an automatic order confirmation showing the order had been received, entered and which items were in stock at the time the order was placed.”
In most cases the distributor is requesting Greenlee ship the order via an air service as the end user wants it the next day,” said Peterson. For more information, see [email protected], or call (800) 435-0786.
