Datalliance Continues VMI Expansion

July 1, 2008
Datalliance, Cincinnati, announced that in recent months, six more electrical industry suppliers selected its services for supporting vendor managed inventory

Datalliance, Cincinnati, announced that in recent months, six more electrical industry suppliers selected its services for supporting vendor managed inventory (VMI) and related collaborative applications. Delivered as a managed service via the Internet using the software as a service (SaaS) model, Datalliance helps electrical suppliers and their customers to fully align business objectives, improve collaboration and streamline supply chain operations, the company says.

The new Datalliance customers include Eaton, Kidde, Lithonia Lighting, Siemon, Ortronics and TayMac.

“With these suppliers coming on board in the past several months, we now have 19 of the leading electrical suppliers using Datalliance,” says Tom Hoar, director of electrical industry sales. “Our ability to deliver Datalliance as a managed service via the Internet was an important factor for all these suppliers. The Software as a Service model allows our customers to deploy and realize the business benefits of Datalliance quickly while providing a predictable total cost of ownership.”
