The “distributors only,” secure B2C site offers essential e-business tools, so all Alpha Wire distributors, regardless of company size or turnover, can now directly access product availability and customer-specific pricing using any standard browser without the need for expensive EDI software, back-end integration and ongoing IT support.
The Web-based, interactive e-commerce system simplifies and improves transactions between Alpha Wire and its distributor network and ultimately helps end users get products faster, said a press release from Alpha Wire.
Distributors have less paperwork, can monitor Alpha's inventory in real time and access updated costs. The Center offers a faster online option, with all the standard business processes that were once handled via traditional methods.
The password-protected Distributor Business Center is designed to be a transparent online ordering/tracking system. Distributor users can search Alpha's entire catalog for specific part numbers, select the quantities needed, place an order via an easy-to-navigate shopping cart, then track that order from the moment it leaves Alpha Wire to delivery, via PO, order number, or by a date range. For those working on long-term projects, previous orders can be copied and sent to the shopping cart for quick reordering.
Most importantly, through the secure login, users can access their specific pricing structure, including current discounts, volume discounts and special offers.
