King Safety Products and Ideal settle patent infringement lawsuit

King Safety Products, Inc., St. Charles, Mo., and Ideal Industries, Inc., Sycamore, Ill., have reached an agreement to settle the patent infringement

King Safety Products, Inc., St. Charles, Mo., and Ideal Industries, Inc., Sycamore, Ill., have reached an agreement to settle the patent infringement lawsuit filed by King against Ideal in February 1996. Details of the final agreement are confidential, but according to a press release issued from King Safety Products, King and Ideal will each manufacture and sell several sealant-filled connector products under King's U.S. Patent B15,113,037 and any related North American patents. The press release stated that the '037 patent remains in force and relates specifically to twist-on electrical connectors pre-filled with non-hardening sealants.
