Flexible Power Strip Invented By High School Kid through Quirky
Dec. 19, 2014
Winner of today’s “Now Why Didn’t I Think of That?” contest is the Pivot Power Pop flexible outlet strip. Who wants a boring, beige outlet strip when you can buy power outlets in fun, bold colors?
This product was launched through Quirky, a company makes inventors’ dreams a reality. Quirky says Pivot Pop’s inventor Jake Zien first thought of Pivot Power while in high school and submitted his idea to Quirky in 2010, after reading about the company in an in-flight magazine. Have a product that you always wanted to invent but can't figure out how to bring it to market? This video on FastCompany.com shows you how the Quirky process works.
