GE Teams Up With Google

GE is working with Google on “technology and policy initiatives” to promote and develop additional capacity in the electricity grid and smart-grid technologies, according to a recent article in The New York Times. Dan Reicher, director of climate change and energy initiatives at, an operating unit of Google, was quoted in the article as saying many of the renewable initiatives now underway will not reach their full potential unless the United States adds to its transmission grid.
