LightFair Day One

June 4, 2014

At LightFair 2014 in Las Vegas this week, lighting manufacturers of all sizes were promoting new wireless control systems that will force lighting pros to rethink and redefine the capabilities of almost all lighting fixtures in the not-too-distant future.

As lighting fixturess are outfitted with LEDs and other solid-state lighting sources, IP addresses and GPS location devices, end users will be able to remotely fine-tune lighting lighting control, color and maintenance, send messaging and public safety alerts and offer customized lighting levels.

Lots more on this on ewweb.com and in Electrical Wholesaling in the days and weeks ahead.

Day One was a busy one on the show floor with bigger booths an crowds that seemed to rival or exceed past shows.
