Dakota Supply Group (DSG) (Plymouth, MN): Tracy Dobos was promoted to purchasing manager for electrical product segments (electrical, communications, utility) and Mark Carlson is now purchasing manager for DSG's mechanical product segments (HVAC/R, plumbing, waterworks). They will be responsible for providing direct leadership to purchasing teams across all DSG branches regarding products in their respective areas. Additionally, they will also work closely with all sides of management to proactively develop effective purchasing strategies and identify any potential product issues. Before accepting her promotion to purchasing manager – Electrical, Tracy Dobos most recently served as DSG’s senior purchasing agent for products serving its electrical, utility and communication industries. She has been a member of DSG’s team for over 15 years. Prior to joining DSG, Carlson worked as a PVF buyer for a petroleum refinery and pipeline, then spent over 20 years as mechanical purchasing manager for Egan Co., a well-known specialty construction contractor in Minnesota. He also served 26 years in the U.S. Army Reserve as an Engineer Officer and pilot.
In other news at DSG, Troy Olsen joined the company as branch manager of its Rochester and Austin locations in Minnesota. Olsen will be responsible for providing direct leadership to DSG’s branch teams, as well as overseeing all day-to-day branch operations in both locations. Prior to joining DSG, Olsen spent a large majority of his career as a contractor, including owning his own company for a number of years. He has several years of experience in wholesale distribution as well.
