Nora Lighting, Commerce, CA, recently donated to the California Fire Foundation, the non-profit arm of the California Professional Firefighters Association, which assists the families of fallen firefighters, firefighters and the communities they serve.
“With the recent horrific fires in California, the Nora Lighting staff and associates agreed that a donation to the CA Fire Foundation was a way to show support to the brave first responders,” said Jilla Farzan, EVP of Nora Lighting, in the release.
“Nora’s generous gift will help support our many outreach programs,” added Sara Rogers, spokesperson for the Foundation. She adds that they offer scholarships to children of fallen firefighters; provide aid to fire and natural disaster victims; and donate gift cards for lodging, clothing and medical supplies.
The Foundation was created in 1987 when the California Professional Firefights decided to build a memorial wall in Sacramento to honor firefighters who lost their lives, where they hold an annual service honoring fallen firefighters in recent disasters.
