Lonestar Electric Supply, Houston, TX, will open a location this summer in the fast-growing Nashville, TN, market. Only 10 years old, it’s the third time in seven months Lonestar Electric Supply opened a facility outside of Texas. The expansion into Nashville follows the Louisiana and Oklahoma additions announced late last year.
“The past year has marked tremendous growth for our company,” said Jeff Metzler, Lonestar Electric Supply’s CEO in the press release. “Whether it’s Louisiana, Oklahoma or now Tennessee — we see a demand for solution-driven distribution models like ours. We will continue to work hard and innovate to earn the business of Tennessee electrical contractors.”
The company’s Nashville facility will work with electrical manufacturers such as ABB Electrification, Southwire and Orbit Industries. The new facility will be under the leadership of Chad Barney and will employ approximately 40 people. Located at 613 Salyers Drive, orders are expected to ship as early as June.
“There’s no doubt about the incredible growth in Nashville,” Barney said in the release. “People are moving there because of a robust job market, bringing new construction to the area. Electrical contractors are overloaded and we believe our solutions can help.”
Lonestar Electric Supply goes beyond delivery of electrical components — the company also aids in lighting and controls design, estimating and project management. “Nashville is booming and we believe a streamlined electrical supply distribution process is paramount to meet the area’s needs. We want to get online as soon as possible.”
Named the 20th largest distributor in the electrical market by Electrical Wholesaling magazine in its 2024 Top 100 listing, Lonestar Electric Supply announced its first move out of Texas in Oct. 2024, with an expansion to New Orleans. The company opened Oklahoma City operations in March.
Lonestar Electric Supply has 20 distribution centers throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, and employs approximately 1,000 people. In addition to electric wholesale distribution, the company also has divisions for the sale and rental of tools and equipment; integrated solutions for water and wastewater, engineering, and engineered sub-assemblies; and industrial supplies for oil and gas, OEMs and renewable projects. Lonestar has more than 4,000 contractor partners.
