Hadco, Littlestown, Pa., an outdoor-lighting fixture manufacturer that is part of the Philips group of brands, has teamed with BlueVolt, Portland, Ore., to launch Hadco University, a new online training resource for lighting professionals. Hadco University (www.HadcoUniversity.com) includes continuing education and product information courses that will help architects, contractors, specifiers and distributors advance their careers and better serve their customers.
“Hadco is very excited about the launch of this online training program and what it will offer professionals in the lighting industry. This is truly state-of-the-art technology and training available 24/7 to anyone who is interested in learning about the best practices in outdoor lighting and Hadco's superior lighting products,” said Eric Anderson, Hadco vice president of marketing.
Hadco University contains courses that will qualify for continuing education credit as well as product information courses that teach the features and applications of Hadco products. Built on the BlueVolt mLMS learning management platform, courses come alive with a mix of video, interactive instruction and testing designed to engage the user and present information in a useful way.
“Hadco University leverages BlueVolt's mLMS platform for learning as well as marketing. In addition to providing valuable training to their partners and end users throughout their industry, their online university is an effective channel to promote new products and enable sales teams to better sell their products,” said Abby Johnson, university administrator at BlueVolt.
Registration for Hadco University is currently free. The university catalog will continue to expand as Hadco develops more courses. Users can take courses in any order and on their own schedule. The mLMS platform provides reports that allow Hadco to monitor training results in real time to ensure courses are effective and valuable.
