GE Lighting, East Cleveland, Ohio, is taking its vision of the future of lighting — with an emphasis on the potential of light-emitting diode (LED), fluorescent, halogen and ceramic metal halide lighting systems — on the road. Lighting professionals and designers, distributors, architects, contractors, facility maintenance and utility executives, as well as government officials, are being invited to register at www.gelightingrevolutiontour.com to get a look at GE's latest. The GE Lighting Revolution Tour will showcase the future of lighting in 47 different U.S. and Canadian cities over nine months. It stops first in Orlando, Fla., on March 2, and wraps up in Charlotte, N.C., in November.
Exhibits on board showcase GE's most advanced thinking about how retail, office, outdoor, municipal and architectural lighting — including many products of GE's “ecomagination” initiative — are improving with simplified and less costly maintenance, greater creativity and enhanced energy efficiency. The tour's hands-on displays address topics such as energy management programs, legislative mandates and environmental initiatives such as LEED certification.
