The American Red Cross in New Mexico received $6,990 from Albuquerque-based Summit Electric Supply after the Albuquerque Isotopes scored 699 base hits during the 2014 regular baseball season. Summit supports the American Red Cross locally and nationally, and has made it a tradition to participate in the Albuquerque Isotopes Charity Banner Program.
This year, Summit donated $10 for every Isotopes base hit during the regular AAA baseball season. In previous years, Summit donated $100 for every home run the Isotopes scored at home during regular season.
Albuquerque Isotopes mascot Orbit joined Summit Account Manager Greg Carpenter for a check presentation on the Isotopes field on August 29. Carpenter presented Summit’s donation to Josett Valdez-Negley, the American Red Cross in New Mexico Interim Regional CEO, and to Regional Chief Development Officer Betsy Skye Smith.
