Marking its entry into the Wisconsin market, Brook Electrical, a division of Sonepar USA, has acquired Allstar Electric Supply in Kenosha, Wis.

Allstar, with one branch, will allow Brook to gain access to the southern Wisconsin market, which the company says is currently in a growth mode. Allstar's sales focus has been primarily on the small contractor, industrial/MRO, and retail markets. Brook plans to grow its base as well as expand into new markets leveraging their existing infrastructure.

“Many existing customers continue to push their boundaries beyond the Illinois border into southern Wisconsin,” said David Rosenstein, president of Brook Electrical. “Our Kenosha acquisition will allow us to service these customers with greater efficiency. We look forward to growing the many relationships Allstar developed with their local contractors and small manufacturer customers. We anticipate for our new manufacturer customers a greater focus on our energy-saving products and services, and a wider selection of MRO-oriented supplies.”

Mark Leach is the company's acting branch manager.
