USESI buys Rahway/Asbury in New Jersey

US Electrical Services LLC (USESI), Exton, Pa., has acquired Rahway Electric Supply Co. Inc., Rahway, N.J., (“Rahway”) and its subsidiary Asbury Park Electric Supply (“Asbury”), Asbury Park, N.J.

Rahway/Asbury has been supplying the needs of electrical contractors in northern and central New Jersey for almost 27 years.

Robert Pileggi and Timothy Zaccaro took control of Rahway Electric in 1994 and, after several years, opened their second location in Asbury Park, N.J. Pileggi, Zaccaro and the staff of Rahway/Asbury will remain with the company.

USESI has been building up its Mid-Atlantic region. In only eight months since USESI completed its first acquisition, Monarch Electric Co., West Caldwell, N.J., USESI has added four distributors to the Mid-Atlantic region: Duplex Electrical Supply Corp., Port Washington, N.Y., Fox Electric Supply Co., Philadelphia, Max Goldman Inc., New Rochelle, N.Y..

USESI has also added three branches in the Mid-Atlantic region in Belford, N.J.; Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; and Rockville Center, N.Y. All operate under the Monarch Electric name. The company also opened a Tech Center for Fox Electric Supply in Turnersville, N.J., which includes the lighting, switchgear and major projects groups for the South New Jersey and Philadelphia area.
