On November 2, 2020, Edison Price Architectural Lighting announced that it has completed the agreement to acquire all intellectual properties and assets of Edison Price Lighting, a leading designer and manufacturer of architectural lighting, serving the specifications and design community since 1952. As a historic brand, Edison Price Lighting has provided lighting solutions for over 450 museums and galleries worldwide. Additionally, the iconic design of Edison Price track lighting is widely viewed as the model that has set the standards for track lighting used in museums and galleries for its clean lines, optical precision and longevity. Edison Price Lighting operates a full-scale manufacturing facility in Long Island City, New York.
Edison Price Lighting will remain its own entity. Under the new ownership, a NY-based facility and main headquarters will be retained, along with key personnel, the entire engineering team and the bulk of the production team.
Emma Price, company president since 1989, said in the release, "We have been receiving extremely positive feedback from the lighting design community [regarding the acquisition of assets of Edison Price Lighting]. Once the transference of ownership reaches completion, Edison Price Lighting will increase in scale and be a stronger, better company."
