Inline Electric Supply Acquires Williams Electric Supply

Williams Electric Supply has locations in Nashville and Columbia, TN.

Inline Electric Supply, Huntsville, AL, has acquired Williams Electric Supply to expand its operations in the middle Tennessee area. Williams Electric Supply has locations in Nashville and Columbia, TN. Inline Electric Supply said in a press release that the combination of Williams Electric Supply and Inline Electric Supply will create a new company with significant strength and the resources to enhance its ability to serve its customers and continue its  growth in the middle Tennessee area.

“Both our companies share similar visions of doing everything possible to service our customers every day and with Williams Electric Supply employees now becoming employee-owners they will be more equipped than ever to provide that service to every customer,” said Bruce Summerville, Inline Electric Supply’s president in the press release.

 “Over the last 18 years, I have dreamt many times of converting Williams Electric Supply into an employee-owned company.  This merger with Inline Electric Supply, which operates as a 100% employee-owned ESOP, achieves that goal,” said John Hannah, president and CEO, Williams Electric Supply.

Inline is a 19-location company with branches in Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia.  The company was ranked #61 on Electrical Wholesaling’s 2021 Top 150 listing with $154 million in 2020 revenues and 220 employees. The company converted to a 100% Employee-Owned ESOP in 2012.
