Sonepar Acquires EOSYS, Five-Location Industrial Automation Solutions Provider
Sonepar, Charleston, SC, acquired EOSYS, an industrial automation solutions provider based in Smyrna, TN, with five locations nationwide and 225 employee-owners. The company has more than 150 engineers on staff, according to its website at www.eosysgroup.com.
According to the press release, Sonepar made the acquisition to expand its ability to serve the increasing needs of a broad range of industrial customers. EOSYS’ engineering-led perspective will help Sonepar build the operational, technical and delivery disciplines required to support more complex solutions at scale. Sonepar said that as the complexity of industrial systems increases, customers across the market need partners with cross-disciplinary expertise and services. It said EOSYS adds proven expertise in automation, engineering, and digital transformation, expands its capabilities and creates new opportunities for growth.
“Sonepar continuously makes investments to support customers as their needs evolve,” said Rob Taylor, president Sonepar Americas, in the press release. “EOSYS will enable us to deliver a better customer experience by adding specialized capabilities that complement our current industrial services offerings like panel design and assembly, power substation engineering and distribution, and switchgear panel assembly. We’re pleased to welcome EOSYS to the Sonepar network.”
Founded in 1991, by Ken Coggins and four partners, EOSYS helps manufacturers automate, connect and modernize operations across a wide range of industries. The company has won multiple awards for its system integration capabilities. “For more than three decades, EOSYS has focused on earning our customers’ trust and building partnerships that last,” said David Lax, President of EOSYS. “Sonepar shares those values I’m excited about the opportunities this creates for our employees, our customers, and the future.”
