John Pasqual, a veteran of the wire and cable industry, passed away at age 72 on Nov. 26. According to his obituary in the Providence Journal, he is survived by Gloria Pasqual, his wife of 54 years, and children, John J. Pasqual, III (Sherry); Jane M. Glass (Richard); Joseph D. Pasqual (Laurie); Mary E. Gerhard (Carl); brothers, Manuel and Thomas A. Pasqual; and nine grandchildren. During his career in the electrical industry he worked for Carol Cable, Alflex and Tyco.
Jack Melnick, a well-known showroom sales rep in the northern California and Reno home lighting market, passed away at age 83 on Nov. 3. Head of Jack Melnick Sales in San Rafael, Calif., Melnick worked in the lighting industry for more than 30 years, up to two weeks before his passing. He represented many national accounts in that territory. Melnick leaves his wife Midge; daughter Rachel Botsford; and three grandchildren.
