General Cable Corp. (Highland Heights, Ky.): Brian Moriarty has been promoted to V.P. of U.S. sales and will report to Gregory Lampert, executive V.P., president and CEO, General Cable North America. Moriarty has more than 17 years of experience in sales leadership, the last two leading General Cable's Specialty Sales and Global Oil & Gas sales teams. His previous work experience includes management and sales posts with Stanley Works and Krone/ADC Telecommunications. He has a B.S. in management from St. Louis University.
Crescent Electric Supply Co. (East Dubuque, IL): Dan Hill has been appointed V.P., Eastern Region, and will assist in the development of the strategic direction for this region, which includes more than 350 employees spanning 32 locations from Chicago to New York. Hill has been with Crescent Electric Supply Co. for four years as district manager for Ohio and western Pennsylvania. He has 15 years in the industry, and prior to joining Crescent Electric Supply, he spent nine years with GE Supply. Hill is a graduate of Capital University.
In other news, Dennis Hazel is now regional supplier manager for Crescent's Central Region and will work with the Central Region locations to improve supplier communications and relations. He has more than 24 years of experience in the electrical industry, most recently as a regional manager for Springfield Electric. In another appointment, Jeff Schneider was promoted to regional supplier manager for the company's Eastern Region. He has been with Crescent Electric Supply Co. for more than 10 years, most recently as district manager in central Illinois. He has more than 30 years in the electrical industry, including positions with Hubbell Wiring Devices and Kellems.
Dreyfuss Associates (Hialeah, Fla.): Eric Dreyfuss has joined his family's rep agency as principal after an eight-year stint with Alliance Entertainment, an international marketer and distributor of CDs, DVDs and video games. His most recent posts at Alliance Entertainment were marketing and sales manager and coordinator for independent retail store sales.
Faith Technologies (Menasha, Wis.): Charlie Fredrickson has joined the company as director of pre-construction services. In this new role, Fredrickson will oversee CAD/BIM, estimating, and engineering/design operations throughout the organization. Previous to joining Faith Technologies, Fredrickson served as partner and V.P. of project delivery for Community Living Solutions LLC, where he managed the development of project delivery systems and tools. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Association of General Contractors and Associated Builders and Contractors.
Eaton Corp. (Cleveland): Patrick Randrianarison has been named president - South America. He will have responsibility for leading Eaton's business in the region with a specific focus on growing sales, transferring best practices, building organizational capability, supporting Eaton's regional business leaders and strengthening the Eaton brand throughout the region.
National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) (St. Louis): At the NAED Education & Research Foundation's 40th Anniversary Awards held at this year's annual conference in Chicago, several industry leaders were recognized for their contributions to education in the electrical market. Associated Component Sales Inc. (ACS) (Atlanta): Stephen Cooch has joined the company's nationwide team of professional lighting component sales representatives. Prior to joining ACS, Cooch was with Lamina Lighting for five years and involved in high-brightness LED sales, applications, optics and thermal management. He also has experience in lighting with Corning Inc., where he led projects in halogen, HID and fluorescent technologies, gaining broad understand of lighting technologies and fundamentals, contributing to and sharing in five U.S. patents. Cooch has a B.S. degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
Sea Gull Lighting (Riverside, N.J.): Spencer Bolgard, currently V.P. of sales, will assume the additional responsibility of overseeing the company's marketing department, which includes the Sea Gull Lighting and Monte Carlo brands. Bolgard has been with Sea Gull Lighting since 2002 and has served in his current position for five years. In another promotion at the company, John Sena, Northeast regional sales manager and director, will become national sales manager for the Sea Gull Lighting brand.
Halco Lighting Technologies (Norcross, Ga.): Del Moses has been hired as product analyst, reporting to David Nelkin, director of product development. Moses graduated from the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University with a Global Partners MBA. He holds a dual degree specializing in commercial diplomacy and executive leadership.
Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc. (Melville, N.Y.): Frank Leicht has been promoted to business development manager for Leviton's international retail operations. He will focus on growing Leviton's global retail operations, including expansion of business opportunities with Ace Hardware, True Value, Do it Best, Sodimac and other key retailers throughout Mexico and South America. During his 13 years with Leviton, Leicht has worked his way up to the position of Northeast district manager, account manager, and most recently, Eastern regional sales manager for Home Depot. He is the key contact for Home Depot's regional buying offices. Leicht began his career with K-Mart, where he started out as an in-store assistant manager and held positions as sales assistant, merchandise manager and store manager. He holds a B.S. degree in marketing from Florida State University.
Thomas & Betts (Memphis, Tenn.): Peggy Gann has been hired as senior V.P. of human resources and administration. She will report to Dominic Pileggi, chairman and CEO, and will be responsible for developing and directing the company's global human resources organization. Prior to joining Thomas & Betts, Gann spent 20 years with Schneider Electric's North American division, most recently as senior V.P. of human resources and administration. Earlier in her career, she held a variety of human resources positions at the Johns Manville Corp. Gann earned a Master's degree in business administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a B.S. from Barat College.
National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) (Washington, D.C.): NAW's Institute for Distribution Excellence has announced the election of two new members to its board of directors: Ralph Suppa of the Canadian Institute for Plumbing & Heating and NAED's Thomas Naber.
Lighting Science Group Corp. (Satellite Beach, Fla.): Ted Russ is now general manager for the company's North American illumination business. Before joining Lighting Science Group, Russ was COO for StreetSmart Technology, a parking management technology company. He also served as the V.P. and general manager for Acuity Brands' ROAM initiative, a remote asset management services company focused on street and area lighting. Russ earned a MBA from Emory University, where he concentrated in strategic management. He also served as an officer and pilot in the U.S. Army and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.
