Amelia Huntington has been named senior vice president of strategic global business development for Schneider Electric, Paris. Huntington joined Square D in 1988 as a field sales engineer in the company's Washington, D.C., office. She advanced within the company's sales and marketing organizations and was named North American Division vice president of quality in 1997 and vice president of strategic accounts in 1998. Jim Sandelin will succeed Huntington as vice president of strategic accounts in North America. He was previously vice president of residential sales for the North American division.
Morris Arnold has been named president of Federal Pacific, Bristol, Va. Prior to joining the company, he served as vice president, Industrial Products Division of Siemens Energy & Automation Inc.
Rumsey Electric Co., Conshohocken, Pa., has named Gerald (Jerry) Lihota chief executive officer and chairman. Lihota has been with Rumsey since 1971 and has been president since June 2000. Lihota succeeds Bill DiBui who will remain active with the company in the role of vice-chairman.
Spero Electric Corp., Cleveland, has named Art Geldhauser general manager and Ray Yankura plant manager. Geldhauser was previously general manager of operations for Trimblehouse. Yankura was previously director of manufacturing for NL Corp.
Victor Jury, president of Summit Electric, Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been elected to the board of directors for IDEA (Industrial Data Exchange Association), Rosslyn, Va. Jury started with Summit Electric Supply at its inception in 1977. He became president in 1990.

Kirk Hughes has been named vice president of information technology for Stuart C. Irby Co., Jackson, Miss. He was previously vice president of information technology at MobileComm and Tritel Communications.
Graybar Electric Co. Inc., St. Louis, has announced the following appointments: Lawrence (Larry) Giglio is appointed senior vice president of operations at corporate headquarters effective April 1. He succeeds Golden (Sonny) Harper, who is retiring effective that same date. Giglio currently serves as vice president of investment and inventory management. T. N. (Nick) Fleming and John Roney have been appointed vice presidents of service at Graybar. Fleming is responsible for service in the Richmond, Pittsburgh and Eastern Comm/Data Districts. Roney covers the Chicago, Minneapolis, Cincinnati and North Central Comm/Data Districts. Joseph LaMotte was named vice president of electrical sales of the Cincinnati district, succeeding Kenneth Netherton, who has retired. LaMotte previously served as a senior national product manager at corporate headquarters. Jeffrey Cook was appointed to the new position of vice president of government sales at corporate headquarters. He was formerly director, corporate accounts. James Ertle was named to the new position of vice president of the Southwestern Bell Communications (SBC) corporate account. Ertle previously served as director, strategic accounts-SBC at corporate headquarters. James Grimshaw was appointed to the new position of vice president of Qwest at Graybar's Aurora district, which is located in Denver. Grimshaw was formerly director of strategic accounts.
Gregg Steeb has been appointed to the position of vice president, Washington region for Platt Electric Supply Inc., Beaverton, Ore. Steeb most recently worked at the Seattle branch as Washington regional construction sales manager.
