Graybar Electric Co. (St. Louis): Kathleen Mazzarella has become the company's 11th president and CEO. As president and CEO, Mazzarella oversees the day-to-day operations of the business and sets the strategic direction for Graybar's sales and marketing efforts. She succeeds Robert Reynolds, Jr. who now serves as Graybar's executive chairman, overseeing the company's strategy and providing guidance to the executive team.

Omni Cable Corp. (West Chester, Pa.): Eugene (Gene) Bruni, former president of United Electric, New Castle, Del., has taken a seat on the company's board of directors. The appointment followed an extensive search, Omni said in a release, which chose Bruni for his leadership skills and industry expertise, as well as his experience leading an employee-owned company. Bruni held various senior positions while at United. During his time there he contributed to the company's growth from 35 employees, one location, and $3 million in sales to 300 employees, 15 locations and $185 million in sales.

New Energy Technologies Inc. (Columbia, Md.): The developer of SolarWindow, capable of generating electricity on see-through glass, appointed J. Patrick Thompson as its V.P. of business and technology development. He has experience in the glass manufacturing-process as an engineer with expertise in solar, plastics and film, glass, and solar-glass segments. Previously, Thompson served as V.P. of Asahi Glass Co.'s Solar Business Unit. He earned his mechanical undergraduate degree from Clemson University and completed the Dynamic Leadership program at International Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.

ConEdison Solutions (Overland Park, Kan.): William Davidson is now manager of sales and business development/Midwest Region for this energy service company (ESCO). He has more than two decades of national and international experience in energy services and performance contracting and will manage the growth of the ConEdison Solutions energy services portfolio in the Midwest and spearhead ongoing market penetration into Texas, Colorado and other states.

He worked for more than 14 years at Ingersoll Rand/Trane in a variety of national and international roles including V.P. of global services business development and most recently starting the company's energy consulting and advisory services group. He also managed mid-America business development for Honeywell.

Border States Electric (BSE), Fargo, N.C.: Wes Ward has been named South Central region construction and industrial sales manager. Ward joined Border States Electric in 2006 when it acquired Nunn Electric. He had several management posts at Nunn Electric, including account manager; Odessa, Texas, branch manager; and Lubbock, Texas, division manager. He received his bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University.

In other news at BSE, David Baltes has been named supply chain services operations manager. Larry Johnson has been named branch manager for BSE's Clovis, N.M., location; and Lee Clouser has been named branch manager for the company's Amarillo, Texas, location. Baltes has been with Border States Electric since Nov. 1999, and he has served in the warehouse, will-call and drove delivery trucks. Johnson was most recently employed by C.C. Distributors Inc. located on the Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, N.M. Clouser joined BSE in 1989 working in the Albuquerque, N.M., branch primarily in the industrial sales market. In Nov. 2004, he moved to Clovis, N.M., and worked as a conductor for Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway until he rejoined BSE in Oct. 2008. He has 19 years of experience in the electrical industry with his most recent role being the branch manager in BSE's Clovis, N.M., branch.

Light-Based Technologies (LBT) (Vancouver, B.C.): Michael Holt, former CEO of Philips' Lumileds Lighting has joined the company's board of directors. He has 28 years' experience in the semiconductor industry across all key functional areas. He began his career in the Optoelectronics Division at Hewlett-Packard after graduating with a BSME from Notre Dame University.

USA Wire & Cable Inc. (USAWC) (Austin, Texas): The company recently hired cable sales veterans Donnie Daniels and Dee Wheatley. Daniels will use his 33 years of experience selling wire and cable to drive sales efforts to exclusively sell through electrical distributor accounts throughout Texas and the entire Gulf Coast region, while Wheatley, also a 33-year veteran of the wire and cable market, will have accounts throughout the Gulf Coast, North America and South America.

Sunovia Energy Technologies (Sarasota, Fla.): Lighting industry veteran Jon Di Gesu is now head of marketing communications, advertising and public relations. He will direct this LED manufacturer's branding efforts and manage its marketing, promotional and public relations operations. Di Gesu brings more than 30 years of executive-level communications management and branding experience, including 17 years with Sylvania before and after it was acquired by Osram, and for Siemens in its U.S.-based factory automation, solar and lighting businesses.

LEM Products Inc. (Doylestown, Pa.): Maureen O'Connor, CEO of LEM Products, Inc., has been honored with a “Brava! Women Business Achievement Award” by SmartCEO magazine. For her combined entrepreneurial and philanthropic endeavors. The award recognizes women business leaders who give back to the community while attaining entrepreneurial success. LEM Products is a manufacturer of identification and safety products such as safety signs, labels, tags and other OSHA/ANSI-compliant products.

Crestron (Rockleigh, N.J.): This commercial lighting manufacturer expanded its team in northern California and Seattle, appointing industry veterans Craig Baum and Mark Lachman as its new Commercial Lighting regional sales managers, and Christ Surunis as regional manager for consultant market development. Baum represents commercial lighting in the western region of the U.S. and parts of western Canada, while Lachman covers commercial lighting in northern California, Reno and Utah. Surunis represents the consultant market in northern California, northern Nevada and Utah. Baum joins Crestron from Lumenergi where he was director of sales for the Western region. He previously worked at Simkar Lighting, Cooper Lighting and Leviton Manufacturing. Lachman joins Crestron from Sentry Switch where he was national sales/marketing manager. He previously worked for Lutron, Progress Lighting and Osram Sylvania. Surunis joins Crestron with over 30 years of design and construction industry experience, including 20 years as a design professional. During his 10 years at Lutron, he served as senior specifications manager in commercial lighting controls and national accounts manager in hospitality.

EverLast Lighting (Jackson, Mich.): Brandon Marken has been promoted to V.P. of commercial sales. He is a professional lighting consultant who joined EverLast Lighting as the director of commercial sales in March 2009. At this post he cultivated a national network of manufacturers' representatives and distributors, increasing consumer awareness of EverLast lighting products and leading the company to record sales for the last three years. Marken earned his BBA in marketing and management from Spring Arbor University's Gainey School of Business.

WESCO International Inc. (Pittsburgh): Kenneth Park is now V.P. and CFO. He joins WESCO with 27 years of experience, most recently as V.P. of finance at United Technologies Corp. for its global Fire and Security business, which has approximately $7 billion in revenue and includes over 40 factories, 350 branches, and 38,000 employees around the world. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand and is a graduate of the University of Tulsa.
