Nova Lighting (Huntington Park, Calif.): Alexandre Silva has been appointed key account sales manager, responsible for the sales management of several major accounts and the complete coordination of the firm's trade show appearances. Previously, Silva served as sales representative for Eli Lilly Co.

Schaedler Yesco Distribution Inc. (Harrisburg, Pa.): Mathew E. Brnik has been appointed president. Brnik joined Schaedler Yesco in 2000 as vice president sale and marketing after a 25-year career with General Electric and Rockwell Automation. Brnik succeeds James D. Schaedler, who will remain chief executive officer and chairman of the board and will continue to be active in the company's day-to-day operations.

Beckhoff Automation (Minneapolis): Jason Sowder has been appointed Northwest region sales and marketing manager, providing direct sales management for Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Before joining Beckhoff, Sowder was Western region automation specialist at Wago.

Nexans USA Inc. (New Holland, Pa.): With more than 25 years at the firm, John Murphy has been promoted to senior vice president, USA sales and marketing for its Nexans Energy USA Inc. division. In this role, Murphy is responsible for U.S. sales and marketing activities for the utility and electrical distributor markets for all energy cables.

Wago Corp. (Germantown, Wis.): Tom Artmann has been appointed president of Wago's North American Operations. Artmann has been with Wago Corp. 22 years, most recently as vice president of sales and marketing.

McGill Electrical Product Group/EGS Electrical Group (Rosemont, Ill.): Tom Mayer has been appointed national sales manager. Mayer comes to McGill from the Ericson Manufacturing Co. where he held various positions including national sales manager.

Coleman Cable Inc. (Waukegan, Ill.): Kurt Hennelly has been named group vice president responsible for Coleman Cable's consumer group and global sourcing. During his 18 years with Coleman Cable, Hennelly has held a variety of manufacturing, engineering, sales, and management positions. Ken McAllister has been appointed group vice president, specialty group. In this new position, McAllister will oversee the company's specialty businesses: security/home automation, OEM, government, recreation, transportation, HVAC, irrigation and industrial distribution. McAllister joined Coleman Cable from General Cable Co., where he has held a number of senior management positions over the past 16 years. Kathy Jo Van has been appointed group vice president, electrical group, responsible for the electrical distribution, wire/cable and electronic distribution businesses. Most recently, Van was vice president electrical distribution. She joined Coleman Cable in 2000 after 14 years in the distribution industry. Greg MacDonald has been appointed vice president electrical distribution. His experience in the wire industry spans 20 years. Gene Stang has been appointed vice president, wire and cable distribution. Stang has been with Coleman Cable for 19 years, serving most recently as vice president, product management.

Tuscaloosa Electrical Supply Inc. (Tuscaloosa, Ala.): Bennie Atkinson, a 16-year Tuscaloosa Electrical veteran, has been named sales manager.

OBITUARY

Carl L. Hall, former president and chief executive officer of Graybar Electric Co., St. Louis, died Jan. 4 of cancer at his home in Cincinnati. He was 67 years old.

Hall retired from Graybar in 2001 after 41 years with the distributor. He started his career with Graybar in 1959 working the packing bench at Graybar's warehouse in Cincinnati. He worked his way up the company's ranks and was elected president and CEO in 1995.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara; two sons, Carl David and Michael; a daughter, Beth Lavengood; and seven grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to The Graybar Family Foundation, P.O. Box 639, Chesterfield, MO 63006-0639.
