Pappas to Retire from Coleman Cable after 30-Year Career

John Pappas, Coleman Cable’s senior V.P.-corporate marketing, is retiring from the company after a 30-year career.

Coleman Cable/Southwire (Waukegan, Ill.): John Pappas, Coleman Cable’s senior V.P.-corporate marketing, is retiring from the company after a 30-year career. Pappas joined Coleman Cable as national sales manager in 1984 and has served the company in a variety of senior leadership positions throughout the years. While overseeing Coleman Cable’s corporate marketing initiatives, Pappas also has led its electrical distribution, OEM and U.S. retail businesses for substantial periods during his career. He has also been assisting with the transition and integration between Coleman Cable and Southwire since the completion of the tender offer. Since 1992, Pappas has been an adjunct professor at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, where he received the Distinguished Faculty Award in 2000, 2008 and 2014. He serves as an officer on the school’s board of directors and leads the marketing faculty in his role as bench facilitator.
