Graybar’s Harwood to Retire after 43 Years of Service

Since becoming senior VP and chief strategy officer in 2019, Harwood has been instrumental in moving Graybar’s strategic initiatives forward.

Graybar Electric Co. (St. Louis): Randall Harwood, the company’s senior VP and chief strategy officer, will retire June 1, after nearly 43 years of service with Graybar. Harwood began his Graybar career in 1978 as a financial student in Seattle. He progressed through the ranks there as a financial assistant and as a financial manager. From 1980 to 1994, Harwood held financial manager roles in several Graybar locations and returned to Seattle as district financial manager in 1994.

Harwood was promoted to director, accounting and finance for the Seattle District in 2001 and was named director, finance for the district in 2004. Later in 2004, Harwood became district VP in the Dallas District. He was elected to Graybar’s board of directors in 2009 and was named senior VP and chief financial officer in 2013.
