Bell & McCoy Expands into Phoenix Market with Acquisition of Bob Jones & Associates
Bell & McCoy Companies, Houston, TX, acquired Bob Jones & Associates, Phoenix, AZ, according to a company LinkedIn post. “Bob Jones & Associates built a very formidable agency over the past 50 years, and we are excited to have them join us,” the post said. “Jeff Jones will stay on as general manager to oversee Arizona and Nevada.”
Chris Coursey, owner of Bell & McCoy, said in the post, “This is a very strategic move that will help us with developing a presence on the West Coast. We have partnered with KingWire on a warehouse in Las Vegas that will also have Sentinel Electrical Products in it.”
Jeff Jones, principal, Bob Jones & Associates, added, “This is a great opportunity for our people because our companies have so much in common and similar cultures.”
According to information on the Bell & McCoy website, the rep firm was established in 1972 and, in Nov. 2023, merged with FRM Inc., Tampa, FL, which was established in 1969. The combined companies now have over 600 employees in 16 states: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Kansas and Missouri.
The manufacturers Bell & McCoy/FRM represent are sold through distribution and are focused on the commercial, residential, industrial and utility markets.
