LED replacement for 6-inch downlights

Lighting Science launched its Glimpse Indirect Recessed Retrofit luminaire at LightFair 2014. It’s a one-to-one LED replacement designed for installation into six-inch downlights cans using an E26 base. The hidden LEDs provide the equivalent output to a 65W halogen lamp with the spread of a bulged reflector. An aluminum reflective dome allows for thermal management with a clean aesthetic. The  Glimpse Indirect is dimmable and as simple to install as screwing in a light bulb. It can be surface mounted as a light fixture, making it an option for commercial retrofit or new construction applications as well as making it compliant with California's Title 24 Residential Code.
