General Cable, Highland Heights, Ky., has appointed ElectroTech Inc., Minneapolis, as an authorized agent to represent and market all General Cable products — including STABILOY, Caro Brand and Utility, in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.
ElectroTech has serviced the Minneapolis market for more than 50 years. Most of its major lines have been with the company for more than 15 years, some over 35. The company says it’s one of few agencies that have had 10 major partners retire with no disruption or loss of lines.

Since 1980, ElectroTech has grown tenfold in annual sales. Jeff Starkman, president, winner of Electrical Wholesaling’s 2014 Rising Star Award for Independent Manufacturers’ Reps, and the ElectroTech team are specialists in both the commercial and utility markets, focused on architects, engineers, contractors and distributors as well as the municipality and end user market segments.
