Epicor’s Investments in Distribution Software Packages Praised in ERP Study

Feb. 8, 2023

A study by Nuclear Research on what small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) want in ERP systems made note of the latest investments Epicor has made in its Prophet 21 and Eclipse distribution software packages and ranked the company’s cloud computing solutions as a top option now available in the ERP market.

Nuclear Research also applauded Epicor’s newest ERP solutions for e-commerce (EDI) and business intelligence (BI).  The study liked how Epicor Commerce Connect Express helps customers establish a web presence without the requirements of a full eCommerce platform because they can build home and informational pages and add social posts, blogs and newsletters.

On the EDI front, several functionality enhancements help distributors automate order processing, accelerate order entry and fulfillment, provide real-time stock availability and improve supplier preparation and prediction ability.

The study also said Epicor’s 2022 acquisition of Grow Inc., a provider of BI software that combines data integrations, data warehousing, and visualization into a single platform, will give distributors greater access to analytic tools and resources.
