Crescent Electric Supply, East Dubuque, IL, has endorsed NEMRA’s POS/POT Minimum Reporting Standards. According to Debra McCashin, the company’s national VP of Supplier Partnerships, Crescent has provided POS information to many of its manufacturers for a while. “We recognize the importance of POS data for our rep community,” she said in the press release. “It’s critical to our success as we stand up DCs across the country.”
Crescent currently has three distribution centers supporting its branch network. Jim Johnson, President of NEMRA, added in the press release, “On behalf of the NEMRA independent manufacturer representatives, we appreciate Crescent’s endorsement. As companies grow through acquisition and by transitioning to an RDC model to serve their branches and customers more efficiently, the importance of POS reporting becomes more vital in ensuring independent manufacturer representatives are compensated for providing local support. Every distributor that does business with manufacturers in multiple territories can benefit by adopting the NEMRA POS standards. Thank you to Crescent for recognizing the opportunity and supporting NEMRA representatives.”
