Industry Data Exchange Association (IDEA) (Arlington, VA)

IDEA updated its board of directors, reflecting both the retirement of long-serving industry leaders and the addition of new board officers who bring deep expertise in product, technology and digital strategy.

George Vorwick, president and CEO of United Electric Supply, and Bill Waltz, president and CEO of Atkore, have stepped away from the association’s board as they enter retirement. IDEA said in the press release that both leaders have been steadfast supporters of the association and have contributed meaningful guidance, insight and leadership during their tenure.

IDEA is also pleased to welcome two new board officers whose experience and leadership will further strengthen the organization’s mission.

Sam Chambers, VP at Lutron Electronics, joins IDEA as a board officer. Chambers has more than 24 years of experience at Lutron, where he has held roles across engineering, product management and senior leadership. In his current role, he focuses on enterprise-wide digital strategies that align teams, enhance customer value and strengthen channel partnerships.

Stephan Fulop, chief product and technology officer at DSG, also joins IDEA as a board officer. Fulop is known for his curiosity and strategic mindset. At DSG, he oversees product, technology, data and digital initiatives, with an emphasis on building practical, scalable solutions that simplify work and elevate the customer experience.

These board transitions underscore IDEA’s continued alignment with industry-leading organizations and forward-thinking leadership. The organization remains committed to advancing innovation, collaboration, and data-driven solutions in support of the evolving needs of the electrical industry.
