SESCO Lighting to Acquire NEXGEN Lighting Solutions

SESCO Lighting Inc., Maitland, FL, one of the nation’s largest independent lighting reps, signed a letter of intent to buy NEXGEN Lighting Solutions, Carrollton, TX, which would expand the company’s footprint into north Texas. The transition is planned to occur officially on July 1 and will combine the existing resources and 480-plus employees of SESCO Lighting with the 35 employees of NEXGEN Lighting Solutions.

According to the press release, NEXGEN, founded in 2016, built a business from the ground up over the last nine years. Led by Michael Payne, NEXGEN has grown substantially over the last few years, attracting local talent and industry-leading manufacturers to their team, the release said.

President and CEO of SESCO Lighting, John Palk, said in the press release, "I'm excited and humbled to be able to announce that the NEXGEN Lighting Solutions team is becoming part of our SESCO family.
