Kirby Risk, ranked 25th on Electrical Wholesaling's 2019 Top 200 Electrical Distributors list, recently joined over 50 manufacturers, brands, national chains and other distributors in endorsing the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association's (NEMRA) POS Minimum Reporting Standards.
"Over the years, we've optimized our operational platform and recognized that sharing POS information with our key partners is important so that they can appropriately compensate the sales agencies that support us in the field," said John Eggleton, president of Kirby Risk. "The NEMRA POS standard helps bring consistency to the process, and we hope that our contribution helps our manufacturers while at the same time supports our reps."
Dave Heaviland, director of marketing, added, "We have changed our formatting to meet the NEMRA standards. Most of the remaining report is self-explanatory and is already includes in our existing Detailed POS reports, so it was just a matter of reformatting. This will help us streamline our internal processes, reduce costs, improve POS turnaround time and provide a benchmark for going forward. In the future, manufacturers who desire POS information from us will need to accept the NEMRA format."
Kirby Risk has been serving its community for 93 years and has over 40 locations in Indiana, Illinois and Ohio.
