Sonepar USA, Charleston, SC, a subsidiary of Sonepar Group, recently announced that it has partnered with LEDVANCE, the makers of SYLVANIA general lighting, to hold a company-wide promotion awarding top performing branches with $1,000 to give to the charity of their choice. Overall, $20,000 was raised across the operating companies and donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest and multiple food banks across the country.
The contest helped measure SYLVANIA product sales across the Sonepar USA operating companies from October to December 2019, including the top 10 branches for purchases and the top 10 branches with the highest percentage change in purchases during this time period.
Brad Abrams, director vendor relations operation for Sonepar USA, worked with the different sales and marketing teams and LEDVANCE account managers to implement and track the contest across the country. Wishing congratulations to the winners, he said in the release: “The OpCo sales, marketing and purchasing groups did an amazing job teaming with LEDVANCE to increase business and, in return, positively impact causes that are important to their associates.”
Added Jonathan Lubeck, LEVANCE LLC’s strategic account manager: “One of our LEDVANCE core values is ‘Winning Together,’ and this is especially true when we work together to support important causes that help those in need. Now during these uncertain times with COVID-19, these organizations are even more crucial. All of us at LEVANCE congratulate and thank our Sonepar partners for being the light for others.”
