Winsupply Buys Atlanta's HESCO

Oct. 5, 2021
The 25-year-old HESCO Supply serves electrical contractors, utility contractors, commercial accounts and industrials out of a 60,000-sq-ft warehouse in Atlanta and branches in Marietta, Smyrna, Gainesville and Savannah, GA.

Winsupply Inc., Dayton, OH has closed on the purchase of HESCO Supply, Atlanta. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

The company was founded by David Hicks in 2012 and has grown to be one of the larger independent companies in the United States. Hicks and his family also previously owned DH Supply Co., which they started up in 1989 and later sold to Rexel in 2006, according to a report in Electrical Wholesaling.

Winsupply said in its press release announcing the acquisition, “Winsupply is thrilled to welcome the team from HESCO Supply into the Winsupply family of companies. Winsupply and the local companies' success has been built by growing courageous entrepreneurs, people who get up and take on challenges with an optimistic spirit. People who take ownership. People who love serving their customers. People whose word is their bond. HESCO Supply is filled with great people who have those qualities.”

The company will continue to do business as HESCO Supply (Hicks Electric & Utility Supply Co.)
