Electro-Mechanical acquires Coordinated Designs & Controls

The acquisition strengthens and expands Electro-Mechanical’s capabilities in medium-voltage equipment for utility, industrial and commercial applications.

Electro-Mechanical LLC, Bristol, VA, a manufacturer of electrical apparatus and power distribution components, has acquired Coordinated Designs & Controls, a provider of custom-engineered medium-voltage switchgear based in Houston, TX. The acquisition strengthens and expands Electro-Mechanical’s capabilities in medium-voltage equipment for utility, industrial and commercial applications.


Founded in 1994, Coordinated Designs & Controls is recognized for its medium-voltage metal-clad switchgear and motor control centers. The company specializes in designing and building custom solutions tailored to the exacting demands of power generation, water/wastewater, industrial automation and critical infrastructure projects.
