Lonestar Electric Supply, Houston, TX,  acquired Industrial Cable Solutions (ICS), a Louisiana-based distributor specializing in industrial, commercial and data communication solutions across the region.
The move marks Lonestar’ Electric Supply’s continued push into Louisiana, building on recent expansions across New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lafayette. Industrial Cable Solutions brings deep expertise in industrial automation, commercial infrastructure, and structured cabling — capabilities that strengthen Lonestar’s ability to serve contractors, EPC firms, and end users along the I-20 corridor.
“ICS has built a strong reputation by delivering customized solutions for some of the toughest industrial and commercial applications,” said Jeff Metzler, Lonestar Electric Supply’s CEO, in the press release. “Bringing their team into the Lonestar family is exactly the kind of move that helps us make it happen for customers across the Gulf South.”
Set to close on later this month, the acquisition will bring approximately 25 ICS employees into the Lonestar organization, with the team continuing to operate out of its existing locations in West Monroe, and Ruston, LA. According to the press release, customers will see no disruption to service and will gain access to Lonestar’s vendor partners along with Lonestar solutions including lighting and controls design support, integrated solutions, tools and equipment and project management resources.
Now in its 11th year in business, Lonestar Electric Supply was recently named the 12th largest distributor by Electrical Wholesaling in the 2026 Top 100. With distribution facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Tennessee, the company partners with commercial and industrial contractors, EPCs, OEMs and other end users on electrification projects of all sizes.
