Google is making a $9-billion investment in South Carolina through 2027. This funding will expand the company’s data center campus in Berkeley County and support the continued construction of two new sites in Dorchester County, strengthening the state's role as a critical hub for American infrastructure.
According to a post on its corporate website, the company is also providing a Google.org grant to the Electrical Training Alliance (etA) to help integrate AI tools into etA’s training, preparing more than 160 apprentices for careers in the state's growing tech and energy sector.
