NEMRA Launches New Online Training Resource

Aug. 28, 2020
NEMRA U utilizes the BlueVolt e-learning platform to offer rep and manufacturer association members more than 600 online courses.

The National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA), Carmel, IN, has bolstered the training resources it offers rep and manufacturer members with the launch of NEMRA U, an online training tool already loaded with 600 courses.

To get started with NEMRA U, reps simply log in and a drop-down menu directs them to the training of their choice. The interface’s simple design  is designed to save reps time accessing training material.

Jim Johnson, NEMRA president, said in an email that NEMRA University offers electrical manufacturers the opportunity to share their product and brand training directly with their reps, with the security of knowing that only the reps that need access to their content will have access to their content. Johnson said NEMRA University will also give manufacturer members the opportunity to offer all employee who work with NEMRA reps and their customers the opportunity to access the same training and knowledge being shared.

He said in a letter to members that having NEMRA offer affordable product training and skill-based training content was a top priority for the association members. ”We set out to build a platform that would not only provide our members with convenient access to valuable and free education, but allow our manufacturer members and industry partners to collaboratively share their content over as well.

“NEMRA University is designed to provide continuous learning initiatives that will not only improve the collaboration between manufacturers and representatives but will develop a deeper understanding of how to more effectively work together to support the needs of the channel and the contractor.”
