Summit Electric Supply, based in Albuquerque, N.M., has chosen Waco for its newest location. The company opened a 17,300-square-foot service center on Franklin Ave., invested in an extensive remodel, and immediately hired seven associates to staff it.
“The Waco market is a logical place for our next location since it is between our Austin, Killeen and Fort Worth service centers, and near the Sandy Creek power plant project we are supporting,” said Scott Cogan, regional vice president.
The full-service location includes more than 12,000 square feet of warehouse space and a 2,500-square-foot counter sales area, as well as office space. An official grand opening event is planned for March.
Summit now operates 19 service centers in four states, including a dozen in Texas.
