Concord Electric Supply (CES) opens in Portsmouth, NH, City Electric Supply’s second location in New Hampshire.
Michael Wilcox will manage the branch. He lived in New Hampshire for more than 40 years. Wilcox previously worked at another CES location — over 15 hours away from the branch he now manages. “My family took a chance and moved to South Carolina for a bit. My mom’s family owns property there, and I’ve been vacationing in Myrtle Beach most of my life. So, my wife and I took our three boys, and we decided to give it try.
While he enjoyed his time in the south, Michael and his family decided to move back to Portsmouth in 2017. In a booming city with new developments popping up continuously,CES spent time scoping the area for the perfect location to put a supply house. After an eight-month process of obtaining the necessary building permits, the renovation process began. “When we finally received the building permit, I was just so excited for these guys,” said District Manager Mike Sullivan in the press release. “When the team finally got into the branch, our own renovations took an additional five months to complete from top to bottom. Seeing it all come together has been a great process.”
