A-D's Electrical Division Enjoys +39% Growth in 2021 Purchases from Suppliers

A-D now has more than 845 member companies in 13 divisions with combined annual sales exceeding $58.5 billion.

At the AD Electrical division 2022 Spring Network Meeting on April 26–28, 2022, members got an update from AD Chairman and CEO Bill Weisberg on the buying/marketing group’s 2021 growth.

In his opening remarks at the meeting, held at the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel in Orlando, Weisberg said the division’s purchases from AD suppliers grew by +39% to $16.6 billion in 2021. Dave Kinsella, president of AD’s Electrical-U.S. division, added that business is up +41% through 2022’s first quarter. Kinsella said one AD member service showing impressive growth is the AD eCommerce Solutions program, which now has 6.3 million enhanced SKUs from 3,600 suppliers.  He said the AD Rewards program was also driving revenues, and in 2021 had a +20% increase in counter sales with participating AD suppliers.
