Summit Electric Supply, Albuquerque, N.M., was recently honored as the “Most Admired Company” among New Mexico's 100 largest privately held companies.
For 17 years, Summit Electric has been included on the “Private 100,” an annual listing of New Mexico's 100 largest privately owned companies published by the Albuquerque Journal. Once a year the Private 100 companies meet for a luncheon, and each company casts a vote for the “Most Admired Company.” This year, Summit Electric claimed the title.
“To be recognized by the state's finest businesspeople means a great deal to us, and we are honored by it,” said Summit president and CEO Victor R. Jury Jr. “We owe this distinction to our associates and to their consistent hard work and dedication.”
Summit Electric Supply was founded in 1977. Today, it ranks No. 25 on Electrical Wholesaling's “Top 200” with $196 million in sales for 2003. It has service centers in New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana and Arizona.
The New Mexico Private 100 was established in 1988 and was founded to celebrate the successes of privately owned businesses. The list is compiled by Grant Thornton and funded by Bank of America.
