Montana Datacom Partners with StructShare to Provide Contractors with Digital Procurement Solution

July 28, 2021
The company says partnering with StructShare offers electrical contractors a streamlined purchasing and materials management process.

Montana Datacom, a distributor of electrical, data, transit, telephone, conduit, video, fire alarm, security and industrial products based in Long Island City, IL, announced a partnership with StructShare, a digital purchasing and material management software provider for the specialty trades. The partnership will enhance Montana Datacom's digital footprint and provide its customer base with an omnichannel purchasing experience.

"StructShare offers an out-of-the-box digital solution for distributors that don't have the resources and attention to build their own,” Jennifer Muhlrad, president of Montana Data said in the press release. “It helps to gain a competitive edge and provide the highest level of ordering experience to the subs. StructShare also enables our sales reps to chat with clients directly, offering instant communication to increase the level of service we provide."

A certified Woman Business Enterprise, Montana Data works with electrical contractors supporting large-scale projects for the Department of Transportation, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, School Construction Authority, and other agencies.

StructShare’s software enables subcontractors to transition into efficient material purchasing and management easily without any IT investment or setup. The software replaces the error-prone and manual-based purchasing workflows with a fully digital infield solution designed specifically for trade contractors, automating the processes and centralized data in a single source that syncs with the existing project management and accounting systems.
