Rexel USA Buys DEE Electronics to Strengthen its Position in OEM & Infrastructure Markets

DEE's specialized expertise in assembly, sourcing and supply chain solutions strengthens Rexel USA's ability to support OEM customers across critical industrial, infrastructure and data center-related markets.

Rexel USA has announced the acquisition of DEE Electronics, Cedar Rapids, IA, a specialized provider of assembly, sourcing, distribution and supply chain services serving original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across North America.

Founded in 1959, the 200-plus employee DEE helps OEMs solve complex production and supply chain challenges. Over more than six decades, the company has built deep expertise in wire harnesses, cable assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, control panels, control box assemblies, custom kitting, sourcing and logistics services that support mission-critical products and equipment across a wide range of industries.

Today, DEE serves customers operating in some of the most important sectors of the U.S. economy, including HVAC, industrial automation, transportation, agriculture, construction equipment and data center infrastructure. Its assemblies and components are found within systems that help power, cool, control and connect critical infrastructure throughout the country.

As demand for digital infrastructure, electrification, automation and artificial intelligence continues to accelerate, OEMs face increasing pressure to bring products to market faster while managing more complex supply chains. DEE has distinguished itself by helping customers navigate those challenges through technical expertise, operational flexibility, and an unwavering focus on customer service.

"Over the past six decades, DEE has earned a reputation as a trusted partner to its customers by consistently helping them solve complex challenges and execute when it matters most," said Roger Little, CEO of Rexel USA, in the press release. "What attracted us to DEE was not only the depth of its technical expertise, but the culture the team has built around responsiveness, accountability, and customer success."

"DEE also increases our exposure to attractive long-term growth markets, including data center infrastructure. As investment in data centers and the technologies that support them continues to accelerate, DEE's expertise and customer relationships position us to participate in that growth while expanding the services and solutions we bring to customers."

Following the acquisition, DEE Electronics will join Rexel USA's Advanced Services organization under the leadership of Hani Masoudi, senior VP of Advanced Services. The combination brings together DEE's specialized assembly and supply chain expertise with Rexel's national scale, market reach and supplier relationships, creating new opportunities to deliver greater value to OEM customers across critical infrastructure and industrial markets.

"For more than 60 years, our mission has been simple: help customers find solutions and exceed their goals," said Todd Gifford, President of DEE Electronics, in the press release. "Joining Rexel USA allows us to build on that foundation with additional resources, expanded supplier relationships, and the strength of a market leader behind us. Just as importantly, it allows us to preserve what has made DEE successful from the beginning: our people, our culture, and our commitment to helping customers succeed. We are excited about what we can accomplish together."

The acquisition reflects Rexel USA's continued commitment to expanding its presence in specialized technical services and higher-value customer solutions. Together, Rexel USA and DEE are well positioned to help OEM customers navigate increasingly sophisticated supply chains while supporting the growth of critical infrastructure across the U.S.
