A traveling learning center created by WESCO Distribution, Inc., and the Cutler-Hammer division of Eaton Corp., both of Pittsburgh, Pa., is hitting the road to showcase some of the latest industrial automation products and technologies on-site at customer locations throughout the United States.

Dubbed the "Intelligent Automation Solutions Vehicle," the custom-designed, 35-ft truck is filled with state-of-the-art automation, power distribution, monitoring and control products displayed in a presentation-style setting. Powered by a 10,000W generator, the product displays interface with two separate on-board computers and allow a presenter to direct an extensive, computer-based, interactive program for an audience of up to six persons.

Its inaugural tour, scheduled to run through mid-June, will reach customers in nearly 40 market areas. During 1998, the vehicle is expected to host approximately 1,000 presentations at customer sites in nearly 40 markets. More than 340 presentations have already been scheduled at major customer locations in 12 states.

Operation and scheduling of the Solutions Vehicle are being coordinated by WESCO's industrial automation sales personnel in partnership with Cutler-Hammer's local sales managers and sales engineers. Call Al DiPierno at (610) 660-7311 for more information.
