Sonepar announced Micah Carlton, head of HR at Summit Electric/Sonepar, has been promoted to VP of Human Resources Central Region for Sonepar USA, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Carlton joined Summit Electric Supply in 2022., and Summit was acquired by Sonepar in 2024. With over 20 years of HR experience, he has held many successful leadership positions. Carlton is active in NAED through the Education & Research Foundations, as well as Workforce Development Council. He earned a BA in HR Management from Baylor University and has stayed involved with his alma mater as an Advisory Board member.
Drew McGlinchey, current VP of HR Central Region and Talent Enablement, will transition full-time to Talent Enablement, focusing on talent attraction, retention, and development. Drew has been in the Central Region role since 2019 and previously led HR at Irby. He joined the company in 2015.
