State Electric Supply Co., Huntington, WV, is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2022. The company has been celebrating throughout the year with customer and employee engagement events. The celebration began on June 30, the date Art and Joan Weisberg founded the company.
The Weisbergs founded State Electric Supply in Huntington in 1952. The company, now in its second generation of ownership, remains privately held and continues to diversify and grow under the guidance of John Spoor (owner/CEO) and State Electric’s established executive team. In a press release announcing the celebration, State Electric Supply said that while it recognizes the importance of reflecting on the past 70 years, it’s critically important to be positioned for the next 70 years. State Electric’s next generation of leadership is in place, well engaged and a strong part of today’s management team.
